Donald Trump's former campaign manager on Tuesday suggested President Obama concealed his birthplace by not releasing his college transcripts.
Corey Lewandowski, now a CNN contributor, remarked on the issue during a panel discussion on the network about Obama's criticism of Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.
"The question was, did he get in as a U.S. citizen or was he brought into Harvard University as a citizen who wasn't from this country? I don't know the answer," he said.
Lewandowski said earlier that Obama was "fair game" for attacks if he continued to rip Trump.
Political commentator Angela Rye interjected that Trump "has been attacking the president long before he began campaigning."
"He is the one who was the spokesperson for the birther movement and was calling for transcripts and saying that the president was an Affirmative Action admittee of Harvard," she said.
"Did he ever release his transcripts?" Lewandowski shot back. "Or his admission to Harvard University? ... The answer is no."
The White House released Obama's long-form birth certificate in 2011 after pressure and accusations by Trump.
Lewandowski later said he wasn't questioning whether Obama was from the U.S.

It’s a miracle!
Either a miracle...or a retread zotted troll.
Michelle 0, his wife, said he was born there.
Barak Obama maintained he was born in Kenya and was raised in Hawaii and Indonesia:
How stupid does a man have to be to allow his wife and his publisher to say he was born in Kenya?
You are WRONG, so enjoy your cr@p sandwich.
If it weren’t for cr@p sandwiches, CTR trolls would get no sandwiches at all.
In addition to having his own literary agents list him as Kenyan born, there’re the Punahou issue. Namely, as soon as Obama’s mother dumped him on her parents, Obama began telling tales of his foreign birth. He alternately claimed to be African-born royalty, or an Indonesian-born prince. He did it so compellingly that even his teachers believed him—absolutely believed him, as they would later testify.
Lastly, and rather hilariously, there’s Obama’s claim to be born in “Asia.” As any Obot will quickly point out, this was because he thought HI was/is in Asia.
But that is precisely the point. No one born in HI believes it is in Asia. Now a foreiner *pretending* to be born in HI would likely be confused about such things. A native wouldn’t be—not even a native who’d spent a couple of years in Indonesia.
What I believe has nothing to do with it. My post was about what Obama believes. While standing in Honolulu, Obama said, referring to his real-time location, “here in Asia.”
As I said in my post, that would be an understandable mistake on the part of a foreigner trying to pass himself off as Hawaiian-born. It would be an unthinkable mistake on the part of a true native of Hawaii.
“Obama Mistakenly Refers to Hawaii as ‘Asia’ During Summit”
CTR trolls always take the weekend off, as I notice is the case with you.
Here’s something to ponder on your trolling-down-time. If you think what I said is opinion only, then you believe it’s relatively common for native Hawaiians to believe they live in Asia.
Iow, you believe native-born Hawaiians are idiots.
How Prog of you.
