Because the Palin's have become the National Enquirer political family. And because his MIL was a Trump supporter so it is news when SIL asks MIL's candidate to apologize. And Bristol has become a public figure, so her husband's thoughts/tweets are public fodder.

I doubt Bristol Palin is really bringing in the big bucks as an esthetician.
