Unfortunately US involvement in a botched coup is not hard to believe. Remember we have Obama and Kerry in control of the CIA and foreign policy. These are the guys that fear air conditioners and the weather more than a nuclear armed Iran.

.. said the United States had tried to assassinate President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the night of the failed coup .. Take a note for next time.

wow, I thought that Obozo + Hillary + Kerry were supposed to give us better relations with the entire world.
Instead, our foreign policy is in the toilet, isn’t it?

Funny how that works. When a pub was in the W.H., everything was Bush’s fault. When a dem is in, it is the fault of the U.S.

What would be entirely incredible would be if Obama’s government backed a coup and it actually succeeded.
He, they, often instigate and foment, but the results never turn out like they intend.

Ousting Erdogan is a good idea, so we can rest assured that our current regime was not behind it.

Turks Can Agree on One Thing: U.S. Was Behind Failed Coup With emphasis on 'Failed', this is quite plausible.
The Jarrett regime probably was involved in a pre-doomed Coup to enhance Erogan's grip on Turkey. They created the environment to take out thousands and thousands of opponents.
Has the Jarrett regime been practicing around the world with these structured coups (starting with the really-failed coup attempt in Honduras 8 years ago) to try and get good at it before a domestic version of it?

That’s what makes it so hard to believe, Obama and Kerry leading a coup against Turkey? So very hard to believe.

While the US government has been behind some coup attempts over the years, some successful, others not, I have serious doubts that the current regime would ever support a coup attempt against a muslim hard-liner. Let's face it Erdagon (sp?) is trying to roll back most of the secular changes that Ataturk (sp?) implemented after the ottoman empire. Barky and his gang just LOVE hard-line muslims. He turned a blind eye to the "Green Revolution" in Iran, while being all-for their expansion into Iraq, Syria, and Egypt (muslim brotherhood.)
So, no. I don't believe that Barky would have even supported the coup. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Barky was strongly opposed to it.
