They did some horrible things during the war. What about our good friend, ally and armed NATO member Germany? Japan is one of the last nations on earth with an international view that I can appreciate. I would like to see Japan foot more of the bill to try to contain the Chinese.

If China and the US get into a full fledged war and we have a non-marxist president, everyone of those assets will be seized.
We’re not there for Japan’s benefit; we’re there to maintain forward operating bases in case of conflict with China and/or North Korea.
We could do that from Guam.
