Ex-Navy SEAL Eric Greitens Wins Missouri Governor Primary

Former Navy SEAL officer Eric Greitens won the Republican primary for Missouri governor Tuesday after a hard-fought race in which he cast himself as a conservative outsider willing to use his military bravado to blow up perceived corruption in government.

Greitens prevailed over another self-described outsider, businessman John Brunner, and a pair of more experienced Republican leaders — longtime Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and former Missouri House Speaker and U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway.

He will face Attorney General Chris Koster, who easily won the Democratic gubernatorial primary, in the Nov. 8 general election.

The Missouri governor's office will be open because two-term incumbent Jay Nixon, a Democrat, has served the maximum amount allowed under state law and cannot seek re-election.

I would definitely favor moving the statewide to the midterms. As it is, they elect just Auditor with the midterms, which makes no sense.

I agreed with the argument made in 2000 that when Mel Carnahan died, he ceased to be a resident of Missouri and hence should’ve been stricken from the ballot. I guarantee if it had been Ashcroft who died, the Dems would’ve moved heaven and earth to make sure the widder didn’t get HIS votes. Add to that, Talent likely had the Governorship stolen from him at the same time due to judicial-sanctioned voter chicanery in St. Louis.

I am stumbling around in the dark as far as understanding the process by which a candidate actually first meets up with the person or people who will begin his political career. Who is introduced to whom? Do most wannabe candidates have political connections in their family that we don’t know about? I wonder.

Trojan horse is right. I just looked up his history on Wikipedia. He is Rhodes scholar (like Clinton). Rhodes was an early British globalist. He also supports the United Nations and NATO. He as also selected by Bush. He is a future Bush guy that is having the road paved for him.

The worthless halfwits over at the NRA have endorsed traitorous RINO turned TeamShillery Communist Chris Koster for Governor, over a Republican who used a gun for a living.

What a bunch of braindead clowns.

Koster has spent the past 8 years covering Nixon’s ass. Greitens needs to tie the corrupt Jay “Ferguson” Nixon around Koster’s neck.
