Yes, J-effin-K lowered the bar by tossing his(?) field-awards over some fence. That does not diminish the awards for that soldier. But field and combat awards are for service to the country. Individual patriotism is involved.
I’d have to suspect that DJT found this patriot afterwards and returned his award to him. I’d be disappointed if he kept it as a prop or talisman for his campaign. I don’t really think that Trump is of that style.
