Dr. Kelli Ward Slams John McCain for Comments About Khizr Khan
Breitbart ^ | August 1, 2016 | Jen Lawrence

Posted on 08/02/2016 6:29:53 AM PDT by kevcol

Senator John McCain injected himself into the controversy between Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Khizr Khan Monday. His primary opponent, former Arizona state Senator Dr. Kelli Ward, immediately called McCain out for falling for the "cynical political stunt cooked up by the Clinton Establishment."

In a statement provided to Breitbart News, Dr. Ward rips both Clinton and McCain.

"The Khan controversy is a cynical political stunt cooked up by the Clinton Establishment, and, sadly, John McCain has fallen right into it." She adds, "McCain’s statement today makes clear that he really wants Hillary Clinton in the White House, and his tepid 'support' for Trump is only disingenuous pandering."

I hope she wins. Time to retire those who don't want to defeat Hillary and the GOPe.

Boy, I hope we finally get rid of that turd (McCain), and that other turd (Ryan).

Sarah has fulfilled her obligation to McCain - I hope she stays out of it this time.

Trump didn't say anything about him, all he did was say we need to stop importing muslims from countries that have terrorists in them - same thing he's been saying.

Kahn, as a tool for the Clinton machine, turned it upside down by pretending it was an attack on muslim immigrants who were already citizens...like Trump had personally questioned Kahn and his family's patriotism or something.

It’s not just McShame’s stupid comments. I have seen a lot on FR jump on the Khan band wagon. Yet, I fail to see where Mr Trump said anything bad about the Khans. Believe me. I have searched high and low. In fact, It was Mr Khan who came out at the DNC angry and combative.

Thank you Dr Ward!! It’s about time somebody call this out for what it is. A leftist attack!

I use Adblock. It’s the javascript and whatever else programing that they use that jams me up on Firefox. Another one that is just as bad is TMZ.

Not me! I don’t live in Arizona however. But she sounds like a straight shooter. McCain is ever the political opportunist it appears.

-- But, what did Trump actually say about the guy? Everybody I ask has absolutely no idea, but they're quite sure that he attacked Khan ... --

I'll get to your question, but first, the press is even farther out than that! The claim is that Trump attacked the dead soldier, disparaged his service, or something like that, and by extension, that Trump does not care about the veterans. That was the premise of the woman who confronted Pence yesterday, and has been the premise of the Hillary surrogates who get the lion's share of air time on the propaganda networks.

So, what did Trump say? This is what the press uses ...

STEPHANOPOULOS: I don't know if you saw this speech, but there was a man named Khizr Khan speaking at the Democratic Convention last night. His son, Captain Humayun Khan, was killed serving in Iraq. And he had some very tough questions for you. He said you wouldn't have even let his son in America.

TRUMP: He doesn't know. He doesn't know that. I saw him. He was, you know, very emotional and probably looked like a nice guy to me. His wife, if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say. You tell me. But plenty of people have written that. She was extremely quiet. And it looked like she had nothing to say. A lot of people have said that. And personally, I watched him. I wish him the best of luck.

STEPHANOPOULOS: What would you say to that father?

TRUMP: Well, I'd say we've had a lot of problems with radical Islamic terrorism. That's what I'd say. We have a lot of problems, where you look at San Bernardino. You look at Orlando. You look at the World Trade Center. You look at so many different things.

You look at what happened to the priest over the weekend in Paris, where his throat was cut, 85-year-old, beloved Catholic priest. You look at what happened in Nice, France, a couple of weeks ago. I'd say you've got to take a look at that, because something is going on. And it's not good.

STEPHANOPOULOS: He said you have sacrificed nothing and no one.

TRUMP: Well, that sounds - who wrote that? Did Hillary's scriptwriters write it? Because everybody that went out there, we also had John Allen who failed with ISIS. I mean, he was a general, Allen, General Allen. He went out. And he was ranting and raving. And then I read a report. He was in there for a number of months. And he failed with ISIS.

STEPHANOPOULOS: You saw Hillary say last night, you don't know more than the generals.

TRUMP: Well, I'll tell you, the generals aren't doing so well right now. Now, I have a feeling it may be Obama's fault. But if you look at ISIS ... General McArthur and General Patton, they're spinning in their graves. The generals certainly aren't doing very well right now. And General Allen, after I saw he was on ranting and raving about me, who he never met, I checked up. Guess what. They weren't so happy with him. He didn't beat ISIS. He didn't beat ISIS. He didn't do even well with ISIS.

STEPHANOPOULOS: How would you answer that father? What sacrifice have you made for your country?

TRUMP: I think I've made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I've created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I've done, I've had tremendous success. I think I've done a lot.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Those are sacrifices?

TRUMP: Oh, sure. I think they're sacrifices. I think when I can employ thousands and thousands of people, take care of their education, take care of so many things, even in military. I mean, I was very responsible, along with a group of people, for getting the Vietnam Memorial built in downtown Manhattan, which to this day people thank me for.

I raised, and I have raised, millions of dollars for the vets. I'm helping the vets a lot. I think my popularity with the vets is through the roof, far greater than hers. She's done nothing. All she's done is tell everybody that the vets are in good shape. They're fine. And they're not fine. People are waiting on line for seven days to see a doctor. She thinks it's fine.

I can't find a single thing in there that amounts to an attack by Trump.

But the press uses it to claim that Trump says Kahn didn't write the speech (Trump remarked on one line), that Trump says the wife didn't speak because she is subjugated by either her husband or Islam, that Trump thinks his business success is a sacrifice commensurate with dying on the battlefield, and as you point out, the general proposition that Trump attacked the Khan family. Then they say Trump is the one with thin skin, has to attack everybody, when these remarks were in the first place provoked by a question from the press.

That’s true, Jane.

What I’m afraid of, though, is that we get wrapped up in our own cyber-universe, and don’t realize that the vast majority of dumbed down Americans simply watch whatever news channel is put in front of their faces, where they’re sure to hear nothing but 24/7 anti-Trump propaganda disguised as truth and passed off as “fair and balanced.”

This is off track, but remember when George Bush was raked over the coals by the media every day when he went on so many vacations? Why is NOTHING said about Hillary’s non-campaign campaign - literally nothing. She’s only doing three debates, and two of those are “coincidentally” programmed against popular football games? And the media says... nothing. Trump’s appearing two or three times a day and giving rallies to thousands of people. Hillary appears... what, once every couple of days and speaks in front of 500 losers someone has dragged in to warm the seats and the media says... nothing.

How can we win against a media that’s so utterly biased and corrupt? I know this is nothing new, but that doesn’t make it less utterly biased and corrupt.

How can we win against a judicial system that’s ALSO so utterly biased and corrupt? We all KNOW that, on election day, they’re going to allow certain RAT districts to stay open because of “bad weather” or “people were afraid to vote” or whatever BS excuse they can spout.

How can we win against a political system where the vast majority of people who are supposed to be ON OUR SIDE have been proven to simply be moles for the OTHER side (John McCain, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and the list goes on and on). These are the people who should be standing on the rooftops shouting to DEFEND our candidate against the attacks from the RATS and their media mouthpieces, but, instead, have joined them and don’t even seem to care that they’re exposing themselves as traitors to their own party because they’re SO arrogant they think people don’t see, don’t care, and even if they DO see or care are too stupid and powerless to ever do anything about it (even vote the bastards out).

/rant

Trump didn't say anything about him,

All he did was question why the wife never made any statements of course inferring she was subservient to her husband like muslims demand

-- It's also like the Palin "I can see Russia" thing all over again. --

How about the recent one where Trump or Manafort changed the RNC platform to favor Russia, to undermine Ukraine, and to legitimize Russia's annexation of Crimea?

There is a fly in the ointment. The platform wasn't changed, not by anybody.

I’m sorry to seem naïve, but where is the full text or video of Trump’s original ‘insulting’ comments about the Khan kid?

That is because he never did
