Don’t feel rained on. We Korean vets left to rid So Korea of communism from the north. No one bid us goodbye....we
came back and no one knew we were gone, except our families.

For sure the Korean War was truly the Forgotten War.
The only reason I knew about it as a teen (1960s) was my best friend's older brother was KIA.
Thanks for your service and welcome home.

My uncle never returned. . .he is now buried in the family cemetery in rural Minnesota. He lied about his age to enlist in WWII (older brother signed the papers), was recalled for Korea and, well, he left a widow.
