“900 million viewers on Friday night, “
I don’t believe this.
.
The volleyball tournament is pretty cool too.
I’ll watch part of the OLympics.....certainly not all of it.
Women’s beach volleyball interests me, I have to say.
Watch the local hospital’s ER doors, as there’ll be more activity there when scores of athletes and spectators are gurnied-in from water poisoning bacteria etc.
I’m torn. A knockout in real boxing settles it. Those are rare in the Olympics any more. Pro boxing does a punch count. I suppose we could call that a tally, but I’m not sure they use it in the Olympics.
It would probably cut down on the ribbon twirling. And just about everything else since both the spectators and athletes would be participating from the safety and security of their own homes.
Those weren’t beer bottles.
I agree. At the same time, there had to be some way to counter the soviet bloc’s claim that they didn’t have professionals.

What were they?!
Then, her husband will be robbed, during the first four games of the NFL regular season.
We Krauts are legion.
I stopped watching over 20 years ago when it became apparent that the Olympics was run by crooks.
What is this “the Olympics” you speak of. Never heard of it.
Yeah, that is my problem as well.
I think a real-time running punch tally from the judges would definitely help. Even if the judges disagree on totals, it would similar to an umpire’s ball and strike calls.
At least SOMEONE followed the rules.
