PHILADELPHIA Democrats are worried about Hillary Clintons inability to separate herself from Donald Trump in the polls, even after what they believe was a largely successful convention that represented a real step toward party unity.
Clinton is hoping for a big post-convention boost, but the reality right now is that she in behind Trump in the polls, and has been in a relatively tight race for weeks.
While the Electoral College may give her an advantage, party leaders and strategists say they remain concerned that Clinton is a tough sell when a majority of Americans think the country is on the wrong track and want to shake up Washington.
The most important thing is there is a bias for change and theres an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll where people express that bias even when they dont know what the change is going to be, said Geoff Garin, a pollster who worked for Clintons 2008 presidential campaign and now advises Priorities USA, a pro-Clinton super PAC.
That July survey showed a majority of voters, 56 percent, prefer someone who will bring major changes to government even if they dont know what those changes will be. Only 46 percent wanted a candidate who would bring a steady approach to government.

I thought the consensus across the board - from RedState on to the far left - is that Hillary had triumphed and would sail to the presidency without a hitch now.
Oh, she’s’ going to separate herself from Trump alright. She’s going DOWN to Chinatown baby. There’ll be a BIG gap. So big, the Lying Leftist Desperate Dems may drop her and prop up Obama for a third term (Constitution? Whatt Constitution? I don’ gotta show you no stinkin’ Constitution!)
Love to see Trump vs. Obama go head to head. Obama will have finally met someone who is not a wimp like most of the GOP and will actually call him out on his lies and treason. Worth the price of admission to see that.
their morons.. when has a convention ever elected a president.. Ususally just info commercial that gives a sugar high.
Party unity??? Yeah, okay, sure.
This is a very good sign, people aren’t buying her BS.
She got 8 million fewer viewers than Obama’s speech in 2012. Trump beat her by 3 million viewers. If nothing else, it shows a chunk of the Obamabots aren’t too bothered to care about her. They don’t have to vote Trump. Just stay home.
That’s because 1) she’s a horrible public speaker (she can’t “charm” people with an authentic Southern accent like her husband can do) and 2) it appears that many on the Left—within the DNC, Democratic members of Congress, and even many in the MSN—clearly know of her imperious attitude that scares people (but they won’t admit it in public).
The 22nd Amendment? Pfft. That was an evil Repjblican-inspired amendment to to stop FDR.
The snap polls and internals are not good for the Democrats. Coattails won’t win the Senate back for them and they know it.
The Dems need 5 flips in the Senate to take control if Trump wins. Right now it looks like they will pick up Kirk’s seat in Illinois and they have a good chance to pick up Johnson’s seat in Wisconsin.
But there is a good chance they could lose Reid’s seat in Nevada, so they need to make strong showings in all of the other close races: Indiana, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Right now the incumbent Republicans are ahead in New Hampshire, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and there has been no major polls for Indiana, where Coats is retiring.
While everyone talks about the Democrats sweeping back into the Senate, the odds of unseating five incumbents and picking up two retiring seats is much lower if you can’t win at the top of the ticket.
If that’s what the DNC has decided is the case, then watch for money to flow away from the Clinton campaign and toward the Senate contests.
I saw the unity too. They were unified in hating Jews, hating police, hating Christians, hating whites, hating productive Americans, hating men, hating borders, hating babies, hating the military, hating Israel, and hating themselves. They have a lot of hate, and only the last one that I listed is justified.
There are two words in that headline that go well together. Clinton h....
Hopefully the sword of Damacles (justice) hangs over also.
[even after what they believe was a largely successful convention that represented a real step toward party unity.]
DNC, MSM blackout of rebellion inside and outside the DNC Convention Center.
Damocles
So Obama beat Trump by 5 million?
TV is dying more and more are watching things on social media, youtube, etc. I dont even watch tv anymore except movies
By what measure could the convention possibly be considered successful?
