PHILADELPHIA — Democrats are worried about Hillary Clinton’s inability to separate herself from Donald Trump in the polls, even after what they believe was a largely successful convention that represented a real step toward party unity.
Clinton is hoping for a big post-convention boost, but the reality right now is that she in behind Trump in the polls, and has been in a relatively tight race for weeks.
While the Electoral College may give her an advantage, party leaders and strategists say they remain concerned that Clinton is a tough sell when a majority of Americans think the country is on the wrong track and want to shake up Washington.
“The most important thing is there is a bias for change and there’s an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll where people express that bias even when they don’t know what the change is going to be,” said Geoff Garin, a pollster who worked for Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and now advises Priorities USA, a pro-Clinton super PAC.
That July survey showed a majority of voters, 56 percent, prefer someone who will bring major changes to government even if they don’t know what those changes will be. Only 46 percent wanted a candidate who would bring a steady approach to government.

Yep, but I suspect many are the voters who don’t normally pay attention or vote, but were just Obots. Also I suspect there are drops in traditional viewing because of watching on youtube etc. more now than 4 years ago.

They want us to be comfortable with this possibility as a set up for them to steal the election. A couple of battleground states - a couple of precincts really - is all it would take. Pay close attention to Virginia and Peensylvania.

-their chairwoman resigned in disgrace
-they humiliated Bernie and he quit the party in the middle of the convention
-Bernie supporters protested constantly outside and inside, burning flags, breaking security barriers, and hijacking the press tent. (MSM ignored all of this of course at the same time the emails proved they are just an extension of the DNC propaganda machine)
-Trump stole all the media coverage twice - with a brilliant press conference the morning after the rapist’s speech - then again this morning with a Twitter barrage
-as for the big finish, their candidate was reduced to reissuing Reagan-seque morning in America platitudes while her husband fell fast asleep in the front row
-3 million more people watched Trump’s speech on TV at a time when a lot of people have abandoned TV news for more honest internet coverage

Redstate is so irrelevant now and its sad. I used to be friends with some of those guys mostly Joshua Treviño who managed the Chuck Devore Senate campaign. We used to debate back and forth frequently post Chuck’s failed campaign. I’m still friends with the Devore’s. Josh is a good guy and the best of the founders of that site.
Erik followed me for a long time and we had limited interactions and mostly I aligned with his positions but we fell out primary over the way he treated Virginia Senate Candidate Radke. He invited her to Redstate then tried to smear her as a drunk. Erik really started to change once he decided to become a CNN commentator. Now he’s went on some kind of uber Christian bender which again usually wouldn’t be a problem if he’d be a little more grace sharing.
I really don’t know what is wrong with guys like Erikson. My humble analysis is that he like Glen Beck and others have decided that they protecting the status quo because the alternative is chaos or the loss of some navie view of conservatism. They like to call Trump childish but honestly I’ve never seen a more childish position. Erik and the Nevertrumps supported Romney, they supported McCain, they even support worms like Mark Kirk.
Now I don’t know what their goal is beyond keeping the $ flowing their way any way they can by being Trump antagonists. They clearly don’t care more about this country than their personal butthurt. A Hillary election is certain to permanently shift the Supreme Court to the far left. Continued open borders will permanently change the shape of the electorate to one that is hostile to constitutionalism of any kind. Continued importation of sharia believing Muslims will cause the horror that we are witnessing in Europe to become even more common on our own shores.
Maybe that is their goal. Maybe they want to see Hillary appoint a leftist judge that will finally provide the vote to kill the 2nd amendment and spark a Civil war. Maybe they want Muslim populations to grow so as to offer an offset to social liberalism. Maybe they want to bring on the apocalypse and let America slip into a Venezuelan like condition which if it happens here will be 1000 times as bad as it is there. No matter how much I sometimes hunger for all out war I can not see that as a means to an end. Trump offers us proof that a peaceful though sometimes pugnacious revolution is possible at the ballot box and given the choice between the apocalypse and chance at American greatness reclaimed. I’ll choose the later every day. I have no desire to kill my fellow citizens or see them dead I just want a country where I will not be drafted against my will into their causes whether personally or financially.
That is the America we need to get back to, one where we are not in collective strait-jacket, one where we are not substituting a religion of the state for a personal religion of our choosing.
