I don’t know when this trend of misspelling “lightning” started, but it really needs to stop.
I think it started in Colorado, with the moon shiners
Aw (sic), lighten up.
:)
This this will twerk ya then
LIGHT’N
Lightning certainly is a ‘lightening’ phenomenon... :-)
They have to use both spellings, the correct one, and the politically correct one. “Darkening” is offended.
I was very close to a lightning strike and let me tell you, it “lightened” up a lot!
Bol! I’m such s a horrible speller, I never even noticed that ‘lightning’ was wrong.
Otoh, my auto correct thinks it’s okay. Maybe it’s become alternative spelling?
Since the ritten wurd is designed to convey a message and you were able to understand what was written, I don't understand your problem.
You have to forgive those who obviously aren't as intelligent as you. Even tho we were all created equil, many never had access to the obvious educational institutions as you........
I bow down to you sir and give praise for having you in our mist........
I agree, lightening is not what many now think it is:
Lightening: Not to be confused with a discharge of atmospheric electricity, lightening refers to the sensation that a pregnant woman feels when the baby drops. This is the time when the presenting (lowermost) part of the fetus descends into the maternal pelvis.
Oh, c’mon, spelling and grammar are so last century!
“Lightn up, Francis”
