Jake Tapper on CNN said, surmising this speech, that Donald Trump has sacrificed nothing like the son of this man, and yet Trump wants to ban Muslims (which Jake admits Trump has backed off on as it was changed to specific territory). Jake then proceeds to say this had to be touching to conservatives who are opposed to Trump because of what he said about Muslims.
Now a group of veterans came out w/ General John Allen. I said when I saw the speakers’ list that they have been criticized as not focusing on the military/security and for her weakness on security, so that was what they would try to do tonight. They also brought the flags (everywhere) and USA chants out tonight after being criticized for that. ISIS is brought up after they were criticized for that.
Bernie people did chant “No more war!” They were drowned out eventually.
General Allen says Hillary will use “all instruments” at her disposal or something like that. Yeah, like email.
General Allen attacked Trump on all the major talking points like NATO, torture, etc.
Jake Tapper wondered before how Donald Trump could fail to bring out soldiers like this. I think Donald Trump is doing just fine with our vets.
