"Today, in the interests of justice and based on recent unforeseen developments that were investigated over the past week, the Office moved to dismiss the case charging Ingmar Guandique with the May 2001 murder of Chandra Levy," the office’s public information officer, Bill Miller, said in a statement.
In the statement, the office said it can no longer prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ingmar killed Levy.

If Condit is responsible he didn’t do it himself. One of the boys was called in to do it. Chandra knew to much. Chandra and her family talked too much.

I’ll always remember seeing Jim Rob freeping against Condit after Levy disappeared. Local TV (Bay Area) had a short interview and Jim was talking about Condit “boinking” his intern.

Condit’s alibi was really stretched and full of “mistakes.” He tried to use being at the Veep residence but he fudged on the times, there was plenty of time afterward.
In fact, as I was one of the FReep sleuths on the case the night of Sept 10, 2001, we had discovered for sure that the timeline he handed over was full of provable lies. He was going to be busted for lying (getting “appts mixed up”) on that thing. Went to sleep thinking the next day was going to be the worst in Condit’s life.... Turned out to have been the worst in all of our lives, but a very very good day for Gary Condit. After all the planes hit, when the Capitol was evacuated and all of congress stood on the steps crying and singing America the Beautiful, he was the guy in the back row with a big grin on his face.
Sorry! Yeah, this would be where he decides to retire in Thailand...
There would need to be evidence to support charges, none was ever found.
