Whatever issues you may have with Krauthammer, he gives a very good explanation of how Trump set a trap for Clinton with his comments earlier today.
Has H->! EVER lied before?
Trump reminds us of the ultimate intelligent fly fisher, who knows the waters and his target. He casts the attractor fly, moves it around their water and makes them very angry. They lose control and strike his fly in anger.
Then, he sets the hook and brings them in with the fly hooked in their gaping/stupid lips in full view of the tv cameras.
After landing them for the world to see them with his hook in their gaping mouth, he lets them go! Think of Jeb during the primaries.
He does this without paying a nickel for tv ads.

No. Read the Treaty. I did. The “Requesting Authority” is the Attorney General of the United States who must make the formal written request to her Russian counterpart. She is the only person with that authority, and since that’s Loretta Lynch, it’s not gonna happen. Even if she did, or Trump’s AG did, the treaty has a clause excusing a signatory from complying if compliance would compromise their national security interests. Since the manner and means of obtaining classified informaton is the essence of national security, the Russians can and no doubt will decline the request on that basis without being in violation of the treaty. Of course, declining on that basis could be construed as an admission that they have the emails.
Let’s get real, folks. The Russians are not giving us their copies and we can’t make them.
These emails are under subpoena as a part of a criminal investigation
Fine. What legal authority does the subpoena carry in Moscow? No more authority than the Spanish judge’s “arrest warrant” for President Bush. Which is to say “none.” You want the Russian copies of the emails you can’t just subpoena them. You have to comply with the treaty and we have not done that and the Russians have an out anyway.
Krauthhammer’s ego is not the topic.
We don’t know when he figured it out. He’s scheduled on Fox at a given time.
Even a broken clock shows correct time twice a day.
I was amazed at the crowd in little ole Left-leaning industrial-socialist-filled Toledo. Simply mind boggling.
Yes, but calling for Russia to turn over documents that were the subject of a criminal investigation, and may contain other criminal activity is a proper course of action, not something horrible as its painted to be.
It’s absolutely right to ask Russia to turn them over. But too many people here believe this treaty is some sort of magic wand that will make the Russians do it. It is not.
Look at it from the other perspective. If the CIA had intercepted the emails of one of Putin’s political opponents and Putin demanded that we produce them, would you support us turning them over to him, or would rather decline on national security grounds?
