....."Ahmadzais attack involved no expensive weapons, no explosives, no training and not likely much contact with or advice from the Islamic State...."
...."Its instructive to look at the knife. Its a common kitchen knife, with a cheap plastic handle and a blade thats not quite as long as Ahmadzais fist is wide. Its the sort of knife that can be found in millions of kitchens worldwide, and a cheap version, at that."

In typical fashion, the LIBTARDS and other members of the Democratic Party will use this as a further excuse to enact more "gun control." The reality is that the police cannot be everywhere. Those police are already targets themselves from real homegrown GHETTO terrorists that have no allegiance to Islam. At least so far. The nanny state will seek to unilaterally DISARM the populace and when that fails to stop both terrorism and local crime, they will push for more police and more public and private surveillance until we really ARE a Police State.
That means folks, the American populace is in much the same situation as we were at the very beginning of the nation in the late 1700's. We are responsible for our own security. The purpose for uniformed police is traffic enforcement, local crime deterrence to the extent that it can be done and to keep families safe from each other. Otherwise, it's to clean up after a citizen has put a bad guy or terrorist into the Big Sleep.
These bastards just want to kill so badly in the name of their unholy god that they will use anything. Just wait until some are more established in our society with better weapons. It will get much uglier.
Good post, excellent comment.
Kitchen knives have replaced Guns.
The weapons were the knife and a short-handled hatchet, which has been widely mischaracterized as an ax. The Islamic State would quickly claim credit for the attack, posting his video on its Amaq news agency website.

Fixed it. ;)
So true!
Immediately the film Johnny Mnemonic came to mind ...
“You lo-techs will regret this!”
The guy in France used a truck, and the ones that got us in 2001 used planes. They have nothing but time to contemplate how to kill infidels...

Yep. Helping to save lives takes a brain. It doesn’t take much intelligence to do what they do.
That's not going to happen.
And to borrow from another thread, what will stop a future tyrannical administration from using that policy on other groups that object to it?
I don’t know who initially said it, but they used planes they couldn’t invest to destroy buildings they couldn’t build. Basically wild animals...
couldn’t INVENT
Thiss has been my fear!
Agree. We know for at least since 622 AD that muslims haven’t contributed anything meaningful to the world.
Yes, good post and good comment.
And it doesn’t matter one bit whether terrorist attacks are high-tech or low-tech, thats not the problem. The problem is the terrorists and their beliefs.
This is nothing new. Way back in the original Clinton regime, Attorney General Janet Reno said that IF a person believes in the Second Coming of Christ, attended Church on even a semi regular basis and owned a gun, they were automatically suspect and a potential target of intervention by the Federal Government.
Even today, putting progun slogans on your vehicle in the form of bumper stickers can get you stopped and questioned in many states like Maryland and New Jersey. Even in Louisiana, or so I hear in certain parishes that border New Orleans.
Using religious affiliation as a test for terrorism spawned by American citizens is just a way to focus law enforcement surveillance.
They had some nice architecture, but it wasn’t worth the price of war & occupation...
