You would think a man in his position would be well above average intelligence and have a good deal of political savvy. Every time he opens his mouth he gives Paul Nehlen a new political ad. Perhaps he is so confident that he doesn’t care. I hope he is wrong. Scott from the Left Coast, “I trust the Russians far, far more than I trust the U.S. government.” You are not alone. The world has gone insane. If twenty years ago I was told I would agree with this I would not have believed it.

I think that part of Ryan's problem may be that he is high enough up to understand more of the moral, ideological & perceptual confusion inside the Beltway; that he is in a panic mode to save himself from something he believes to be coming--something beyond his ability to deal with on his own terms.

He is not up to standing with Trump, because he has been intimidated by the level of corruption that Trump dares to challenge. Ryan once showed serious ability. Lately he appears like a whipped cur, cowering with indecision. Very sad! He could have been an asset; he just wasn't up to it.
