Marion Maréchal Le Pen, the 26-year-old niece of France’s Front National leader Marine Le Pen has urged her fellow countrymen to join the military [after doing so herself] in a series of tweets following the beheading of a priest in Normandy this morning.

“Faced with the threat that weighs on the France, I decided to join the military reserve. I invite all the young patriots to do the same,”

There are no doubt very brave and capable men in the French armed forces. That’s not the problem. The problem is that the French people have no stomach for a fight. They have not since the bloodletting at Verdun a century ago.
Falkenhayn accomplished exactly what he intended at Verdun; he destroyed France’s will to fight. Alas, he succeeded only too well.
Notice these people remove the “Radical and Terrorism” and leave the “Islamism” which is correct.
