I couldn’t answer the questions because the choices did not not connect with my sensibilities. For example, “Best thing to do on a hot summer night” did not include “mow the lawn then take a shower.”
That’s where I’m at.
You Should Spend Your Summer in the Mountains |
You need a summer vacation that gets you away from the crowds and the heat. So retreat to the mountains, where you can clear your head. |
Yeah, that sounds about right to me but they did not have the option of fishing in the Gulf on my boat.
You Should Spend Your Summer at the Beach |
And you don't just love summer... you live for it. So, you really should blow off your responsibilities and head to the beach! |
One of the loveliest places I ever stayed in the summer was Water Island. It’s a town on Fire Island that had at that time no phones, no electricity—and no ferry! You had to take the ferry to the next town over and lug your stuff and your groceries a mile and a half down the beach. The house was an old mainland house that had been floated over.
A hassle but the isolation was worth it.
I would never try to go back to Fire Island. It’s all changed now, would never be the way I remember it.
WHEW, looks like the dog days of summer are happening all over the country. Creeping into triple digits here this week, thank goodness for A/C!
I'm going to be heading over to my BIL place next week to help him do some work on a beautiful retirement home he bought out near the Washington coast. A lovely and scenic area.
I've been seeing son quite frequently this summer even though he works a lot, he starts college again next month.
Probably not going to do a lot today, just too hot! Have a great Humpday!
You Should Spend Your Summer on a Road Trip Yeah!! |
For you, the summer is all about possibilities. And you're not going to be tied down. This is the time for you to embark on an epic road trip, with no ultimate destination in mind. You know you'll have a ton of crazy adventures... at least until you run out of cash! |
