Paul Simon made a surprise visit to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Monday night. He played the unity song, "Bridge Over Troubled Water," before a crowd still coming together after a fractious primary.

Funny.
But Garfunkle really did have a great voice.
I prefer his 1976 thanksgiving SNL appearance where he dressed in a turkey costume singing “Still Crazy After All These Yesrs”
More appropriate for the DNC.
DNR the DNC!
Rolling Stone is a joke. From time to time, the local supermarket has one of their special issues with the “Top 100” this or the “Best Of” that. Their choices are always weird and embarrassing, and always totally PC. They are small, pathetic men.
Me too, it sucked. Four minutes of pain to endure til the DJ played something that rocked.
Art Garfunkel sang that song for a reason, and now we know the reason: Paul Simon can’t sing it.
One of the best concerts I was ever at was the Simon and Garfunkel concert at Central park which I believe was 1983. But it was about as near a perfect concert as you could ever get, the sound was unreal and the band and singing was top notch. Sad to see what liberalism has done to Paul. I don’t blame old age because Tom Jones is a year older than Paul and still has a kick ass voice.
ha ha, that’s a good one
Trump should tweet, “Democrats say they will bring America together but they can’t even bring Simon and Garunkle back together!”
“Look at the lyrics. It is a song glorifying illegal drugs.”
Actually, the first two verses are the dem platform. If you’re having problems, I will do something vague to make you feel better.
You are full of hops. (Glorifies drugs HAH!)
“Bridge Over Troubled Water”
When you’re weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all
I’m on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I’ll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on, silvergirl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
The dying Simon is the perfect representative of a Dying Democrat Party
Since it’s the Democrat convention, a more appropriate Simon and Garfunkel song would have been “At The Zoo.”
Early on, I liked Simon & Garfunkel, but - looking back - some of the lyrics were “precious,” sometimes pretentious, and sometimes downright embarrassing: “Slow down, you move too fast, we’ve got to make the morning last . . . feelin’ GROOVY” - BARF!
What does anyone expect? He’s 75 years old. Neither he or Garfunkel can sing anymore.
Good.
Good.
True enough.
