PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) adopted a slogan from the Republican National Convention in their protests against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Sunday: Lock her up! The Wall Street Journal reports:
At a lively Sunday march in support of former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, chants of lock her up, Hillary for Prison signs and t-shirts and calls for indictment were common among the most ardent supporters of Mr. Sanders, who arrived in Philadelphia to make their voices heard to the delegates attending the Democratic National Convention.
Hillary for Prison shirts and bumper stickers have proliferated across the country.
The Journal further notes that attendees were more than eager to list the reasons that Mrs. Clinton deserved to be incarcerated, and were quite capable of doing so.
The chant, which originated on the floor of the Republican gathering in Cleveland, refers to Clintons non-indictment for mis-handling classified information. FBI director James Comey said earlier this month that while Clinton had been extremely reckless with national security secrets on her private and unauthorized email server, and that they had likely broken the law, they did not have the requisite criminal intent to sustain prosecution.
Critics noted that the relevant statute has no intent requirement.
The chant has been adopted by the remaining holdouts for Sanders, even though the Vermont senator ended his campaign and endorsed Hillary Clinton several weeks ago.

This is priceless.
When republicans chanted that, Hilary called them hateful and dark.
And that it Dems chanting, so much for party unity.
And the talking heads constantly bemoan that Republicans and Democrats can’t agree on anything. Take that media!!
When this happened at the Republican Convention, the MSM wrung their hands about how crass it was and how it proved that the convention-goers were just a bunch of Neanderthals. I guess Neanderthals vote Democrat too.
How much stink can Bernie and his supporters stand?
All that matters to me is who they are going to vote for.
Will they eat their words and vote for her after all?
Or go third party and split the dem vote?
Hopefully we'll hear such chants from the floor of the convention in prime time, and see the signs and t shirts too.
I was thinking after the high of the Republican Convention what a low would be experienced the following week. I was determined to get a good book or two and turn off all news. Now I went to my local Walmart this morning and bought several bags of pop corn. This is going to be good folks!!!!
Having been some days in preparation
A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
Most of the Hillary team are so used to pretending a revolution is in motion that they’re caught flat-footed when one really is. I was astonished to speak with a couple of Bernie die-harders over the weekend who were teasing the heck out of me because Trump is now “their” man. Small sample size, sure, but this could be an epochal butt-whippin’ coming...
Well, there are Bernout delegates in there.
Sanders, a man of politically expedient principle.
I’ll second that — a lot of the feel the bern types are legitimate idealists. They will learn in the course of their lives that the idealism does not mesh with the way too many people act but for now, don’t begrudge them their youthful ideals. Many of the young socialists today will be conservative in another few years after marriage, parenthood, and careers become their daily activities.
How long until the entire country is chanting the same thing?
It’s really too bad she didn’t choose Corey Booker as her VP nominee.
All the chants of “Book ‘er, book ‘er” would have been sweet, too.
Gotta hand it to her, she is bringing the country together.
LOL!
