I haven’t read every post, so I apologize for any redundancy, but my take is this. The minute the fathers, sons, and brothers of other people’s families decided to go help Ambassador Stevens his life became part of theirs, and their sacrifices and stories part of his life and legacy - even if some of those people happen to be Republicans and the mother of Ambassador Stevens objects to them. I would like to know if she has ever contacted the families who lost loved ones who went to try to save Ambassador Stevens. I will assume she did, but if she didn’t, she has no business making this public statement, IMHO.
For the record, she appears to be part of the Berkeley Piano Club, and to have written a history of this club. If so, she is likely very liberal politically. This is her right, but that right has been won by the blood and sacrifice of many young men and women who would disagree with her political philosophy. Some of them died trying to save her son. She should be grateful. She has to know that some of those brave men that put their lives on the line to save her son are supporting Trump. That she would go out of her way to try to hurt the candidate that these men support is truly indefensible, and speaks of no gratitude.
