I agree. I believe BO’s ecumenical approach to Islam does not recognize the true history of Islam. Rather BO relies on the current official view of the pope. BO is a very strong Roman catholic.It is to this fact that I attribute BO’s blindness on Muslims.

BO’s general views are circumscribed by the Holy See, which at times is Wholely blind.

Could be. I fear, alas, the Pope is not blind. I am Catholic and right now a very uncomfortable Catholic.
