On July 22 Hillary Clinton announced Tim Kaine as her running mate. Kaine is a Democrat Senator from Virginia who supports a ban on 15-round "clips" and "assault weapons," and who wants to enact a law to hold gun dealers liable for the misuse of firearms.
During the June 26 airing of Meet the Press, Kaine told Chuck Todd that he voted for an "assault weapons" ban before and "would likely vote for it again." But he stressed that he believes "limitations on the size of magazines and ammunition clips" is the first step to take.

Personally, I think the ads will start coming out after the dem convention.
Going to be lots of good stuff to use against her from that.
Dilbert suggested Perez, but there is the obvious issue of a Latino VP who can't speak any Spanish.
Clinton - Vile-Sack and Clinton - Book-Her have bumper sticker problems.
"Clinton with her Kaine" and "Clinton - Kaine - crooked" may have seemed to be the least bad of a number of bad options to her advisers, late at night and after way too many pizzas and beers.
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with her choice! Nothing like a gun-grabbing Democrat from Virginia to bring out the single-issue white rural voters in November!
Excellent. The more this is a cornerstone of the Dem platform the more they’ll lose by.
Please, please, PLEASE, make Gun Control a major part of the Democrat platform...
It is excellent. Gun control in dangerous times is especially unpopular. I see a Yuuuuge voter backlash comng
We’re all gonna have to switch to belt fed weapons!
We should ban stupid politicians.... your gone Kaine
What Does Bernie Sanders Think Of Tim Kaine? He May Not Support Him
Charles Chamberlain, the executive director of Democracy for America released a statement on Thursday that suggested Kaine would not be a good pick, considering “his vote for fast track authority for the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership and this newly uncovered push for bank deregulation.”
Given Sanders’ calls to break up the banks and reform Wall Street, Kaine doesn’t seem like a likely contender for Sanders’ support, either.
Clinton already has work to do to gain support from Sanders supporters, and it doesn’t seem like Kaine would be the way to go, considering his support for the TPP and for deregulating banks. Though Kaine’s base in Virginia will certainly help the presumptive Democratic nominee in the swing state, a more progressive VP pick might have done well to bridge the gap between moderate Democrats and progressives.
A Bloomberg Politics poll from last month showed that nearly half of Americans who voted in support of Sanders’ campaign to rebuild the middle class, change the campaign financing system, break up financial institutions on Wall Street, and build a more socialized health care and education system will not support Clinton. It would seem that choosing a VP pick to secure that vote would be especially important to her campaign’s success.
Well now let’s apply the exact same logic equally among consumer goods...
Hold car dealers responsible for injuries or deaths in automobile accidents.
Hold schools responsible for kids who can’t read and write.
Hold grocery stores for obesity.
You game Tim??
Oh, and by the way, I HATE 15 round clips. The ones I use are 5 round. And the MAGAZINES I use are 30 round. Except in my carry gun, those are 17.
Idiot.
Hilliary The Corruptest had this one VP selection opportunity to show she has some executive skill......and she came up with this idiot!?
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho! God Bless Texas!
Kaine is a complete goober
Vilsack is a major goober
What about knives?
If dealers are responsible for the
use of their product, politicians
should be liable for bad laws.
As I said before, Kaine is a complete moron. We’re gonna have some good laughs.
