Officials have urged residents in a small Colorado town not to consume their water after several wells tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
So far no illnesses have been linked to the water in Hugo -- a town of around 700 people located roughly 100 miles southeast of Denver -- according to officials.
The announcement comes after a local company was testing its own water and got a positive result. Local law enforcement was then notified and further testing in other locations took place, which revealed additional positive results, reports ABC Denver affiliate, KMGH.
"At this point we're not taking anything off the table," Captain Mike Yowell with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office told KMGH. "We're looking at all angles here."

Of course there’s no THC in ground water. But tests did show extremely high levels of DHMO.

The bigger issue is - was it purposely contaminated by someone, and how did they have access to the town’s water supply? (unless it was an employee)

They are reporting it’s well water from several different wells.
How easy is it for muzzards to poison the water? The only reason they don’t do it is they like blood.
I use DHMO on my horses as a carrier for other topical medications. It’s also used in a nasogastric tube for something, I can’t remember what the vet was using it for. The only problem with it is you have to wear rubber gloves when using it. It goes right through the skin and makes your breath smell like garlic.
The airliner lumbers for take-off onto the final turn at the end of Denver’s runway. The captain says, “Just another swig of this water, and we go.”
Oh, boy.
I’m more concerned about this throwing off drug tests. It takes much less THC to turn a test positive than it does to have any noticeable physical effects.
But a positive drug test can ruin lives - even when an individual is innocent.

Gee- seems like the stoners want EVERYONE brain-dead, drooling and mindless! Zombies are SO easy to control. I DETEST druggies and anyone who intentionally wants to destroy their brain and live stoned. If life is that damn bad- just OD on something.You’re destroying your family and society. Now we have pot heads polluting the water supply so everyone can be drugged up against their will? It’s just a shame we can’t find a way to GIVE life they are throwing away on drugs TO people who are fighting to live.
Thank you. THC is an oil. It might float on top or something but its not going g to mix in water. More likely this was just a bogus test.
I’ll be generous and just say you’re gullible.
Be careful with that stuff. Horses immersed in it have been known to die within a few minutes. I’ve even read that up to 100% of horses exposed will die!
