I use DHMO on my horses as a carrier for other topical medications. It’s also used in a nasogastric tube for something, I can’t remember what the vet was using it for. The only problem with it is you have to wear rubber gloves when using it. It goes right through the skin and makes your breath smell like garlic.

Be careful with that stuff. Horses immersed in it have been known to die within a few minutes. I’ve even read that up to 100% of horses exposed will die!

I think that’s DMSO, di-methyl sulfoxide, that you are referring to.
