I never got why people ere so impressed with John. Of course, he got the womans vote. His legacy? I suppose the Russian stand off.

IIRC....Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country....was plagiarism. Hope my memory is right on this.

Supposedly the headmaster at a school he attended. However the first time I saw it was in a letter my father in law wrote to JFK prior to the election. He wouldn’t have gotten it from the same “headmaster”, because he was from a previous generation and went to HS in Philadelphia.

Well that’s easy enough to answer even for those of us who weren’t part of his fan club. JFK was handsome and a very good speaker. Not particularly good as a President but he came across very well on television.

He had charisma. A term that interestingly enough the press first applied to his predecessor, Dwight Eisenhower.
