Munich gunman 'had link to Anders Breivik', Norway killer

who killed nine people in Munich was obsessed with mass shootings and had an obvious link to Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik, German police say.

Police who searched the 18-year-old's room say they found written material on attacks.

The gunman, who later killed himself, had a 9mm Glock pistol and 300 bullets.

Police are investigating whether he may have lured his victims through a Facebook invitation to a restaurant. He is suspected of using a fake account under a girl's name to invite people to the McDonald's restaurant where he launched his attack.

I don't know but I used to interest myself in the disinformation spread by the USSR and there are many similarities to the way things are today. Anyway, sites like FR are great to help us to fight this intentional or unintentional disinformation.

PS: It may well be that this instance of mass shooting has less to do with religion and more to do with mental illness etc. However, it is the duty of both the police authorities and the media to look at all possibilities and not just jump at whatever favourite explanation they can find.

This is important, because if it does turn out that the young man did not commit this atrocity because he was clinically depressed, but he was depressed because someone was trying to convince him to commit this act (a not inconceivable possibility), that means a whole different aspect on how to protect ourselves.

This linkage was put out even before they knew who the killer was or the police checking out his home. The narrative is that this is a mentally ill person who was extremely right wing.
