If you took time to watch the Republican National Convention you might have noticed a song or two from your favorite artist being blasted over the speakers at Quicken Loans Arena.
Music has become the backdrop for this election season and some artists have welcomed the usage of their work by presidential candidates while others have been totally disgusted by it.
Since Donald Trump's announcement to run for presidency in 2015 several artists have come out against the nominee's use of their music.

Shut up and sing. Collect your royalty checks and be grateful that you got to do what you love for a living.
Most of us ordinary humans never have that opportunity in life.

I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands

In the end, this was why Prince maintained such tight control over his music right up to the time of his passing—he didn’t want to get taken advantage of by the record companies. And I don’t blame him, given the slimy practices of record companies in regards to copyrights and performance rights of music.

Trump should use these songs. The bands that perform them probably wouldn't mind.

“Tommika Anderson” is a moron who thinks Steven Tyler sings for the Rolling Stones.
You would think people would be getting smarter with the internet as a resource.
They appear to be getting dumber.

There’s absolutely no reason to patronize the feckless cowards. There are plenty of liberty-minded artists not intimidated by political correctness.
