1,357 Ivanka Trump reportedly wore a $138, blush-colored dress from her own fashion line — sold at Macy’s and Nordstrom — when she introduced her father Donald Trump on Thursday night at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, where he accepted the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States.
The 34-year-old fashionista also wore her own dress on Wednesday night.
“The entrepreneur was also sporting her own designs — $158 off-white dress, $135 black suede pumps and her own considerably pricier precious jewelry — in the Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night, when photographers shot her pointing toward her father’s nemesis Ted Cruz,” Women’s Wear Daily reports.
Trump’s decision to adorn her reasonably priced clothing line makes her relatable to every woman and it’s in stark contrast to presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s decision to wear a $12,485 Giorgio Armani jacket during her New York primary win in April.
As the New York Post noted, Clinton’s jacket reveals her disconnect from the everyday woman.
“It was a clear attempt to position herself as an everywoman,” the Post reported of Clinton’s victory speech, adding, “But an everywoman she is not — she gave the speech in a $12,495 Giorgio Armani tweed jacket.”

Well, for those of us women who are in between being the beauty or the beast, all of those fashion accouterments help.
I am married and a senior citizen, so I am not in the market, but I still like to look nice when I go to church or out with my husband.

But Ivanka has the grace and beauty to make anything look terrific.

Unless that unusual coat is a haute couture one-of-a-kind coat, that price is just ridiculous. That's almost the price of a many haute couture dresses out there.
Ivanka’s dress getting a whole lot of press on TV today. One channel included pictures of all the dresses and shoes she had worn throughout the convention and lamenting about the millions of dollars of free advertising she has received. Apparently the internet is alive today with searches for stores that carry her line of clothing and “they are just flying off the rack and out the doors”.
Kudos are being extended to her though for designing clothes that fit well, are attractive and are affordable.
That reminds me. I haven’t made green pea soup in a coon’s age.
Looked like same dress to me. It was at least similar and smart move whether planned or not!
Probably about the same price per yd., but ol' Hill's uses more yds. of material per outfit than Ivanka does.

Melania’s dress was silk and cotton and very beautiful. Ivanka’s was similar but simpler in design.
Melania’s was designed by a Czech designer, I believe. I hope when she becomes first lady, she’ll promote American designers. She’s so beautiful and poised!
