From the first video posted you could tell that was an involuntary action. The link you posted is great because it slows down the frames to show the horrified reaction of the reporterette in blue. The added sound effects is perfect too.
Having watched this from a different angle, I think there may be more to this than a 'gag' reaction to media harpies.
