I don’t recall all the particulars. I wasn’t tuned in like we are on Free Republic now, and didn’t do assessment to the degree we do now.
Reagan wasn’t the type of guy to screw the nation to get even with another candidate from his own party.
We must also remember that pre Carter, most Democrats were nowhere near the threat to our nation that Obama and Clinton are.
Reagan would have been praising his rival if they were running against the likes of Mrs. Clinton.
