Upthread, someone noted that Trump had to deal with the Mob from time to time. The Mob may be criminals, but their word is their bond (I’m plagiarizing from Michelle Obama here). It is a good point.
Trump is pragmatic enough in having (probably) dealt with those political forces of organized crime, to understand that all a man has is his word.
He likely sized up Cruz in a few seconds of meeting him, as someone who had no integrity — who’s word meant nothing. Thus, Cruz was less worthy of respect than the Mafia.
It’s obvious, that since Trump read Cruz’s speech just before he went onstage, that Trump wanted us all to know that too.
For Cruz his word is his dong.
“He likely sized up Cruz in a few seconds of meeting him, as someone who had no integrity whos word meant nothing. Thus, Cruz was less worthy of respect than the Mafia.”
I was kind of surprised after Senator Sessions endorsed Trump over Cruz. But I trusted Sessions and figured he saw or knew something about Cruz that we didn’t.
Sen. Sessions knew exactly what kind of person Cruz was and that he couldn’t be trusted.
“He likely sized up Cruz in a few seconds of meeting him,”
Trump quotes from way back:
-Ted’s a nasty guy.
-He’s a bit of a maniac.
Cruzlims were clutching their pearls for daring to attack the true conservative, but Trump’s assessment still stands.
