With the official nomination of Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton has the opponent of her dreams — someone whose character, preparation and views are so defective as to make last night’s roll call a devastating moment in the lives of many Republicans. The GOP has had magnificent nominees (Abraham Lincoln) and likable nominees (Ronald Reagan, Dwight D. Eisenhower). It’s had admirable nominees who lost (Mitt Romney) and flawed nominees who won (Richard Nixon). It has never — and we certainly include Barry Goldwater — had a nominee who embarrasses and disgusts a significant number of people in his own party. How does Clinton, without endangering support in her own ranks, reach out to Republicans to secure her win? Here are five steps she can take:

I read somewhere that Clinton and her PAC’s have already spent about $70 MILLION on negative ads against Trump in the battleground states, and he or his allies have spent only $4 MILLION. From the Clinton ads I’ve seen, they’ve all been rehashes of the “fat pig” ad and a few others that Bush, Cruz and Rubio ran against him during the primaries. They haven’t even come up with anything really original.
Anything she does to placate “horrified Republicans” will alienate her BLM/BernieBot base. She’s SCROOOOOOOD!
Just a couple more muslim terrorist attacks and/or Black Lives Matters murders, and Hillary is TOAST!!!! That’s besides the possibility of clinton Foundation investigations by the FBI and/or Congress!
Heck, just a week of extreme shenanigans at the Democrat National Convention next week might send Hillary sinking to the bottom of the Marianas Trench!! Just like 1968, only more so!!!!

Exactly, Hillary NEVER stood a shot once it was clear Trump had the nomination.... the only plus polling she will see may be a post convention bounce, and that’s it, she’ll continue to drop like a stone... and honestly she may not even get a convention bounce.....
She can’t win, never could. Fight hard, but understand, what is driving this election cycle, Hillary is on the wrong side of all of them, and there is nothing she can do to change that. She is toast.

She has no idea how many millions of Republicans were embarrassed and disgusted with Mitt, but voted for him anyway because the alternative was worse. Donald Trump has never endangered America’s security or caused American heroes to be killed. Hillary has done both, but somehow is preferable? Only to those whose only concern is globalism and open borders uber alles.

Well, I guess this will be a piece of cake for her. She can sit back and relax knowing she'll easily win in a landslide. The media can relax too, since Trump can't possibly win anything. Perhaps they can all take a long vacation together somewhere nice, like Somalia.
It is horrifying to have a successful man with no ties to globalist Islamic powers as our nominee. I haven’t lived under a patriotic president since Ronald Reagan. I don’t know what to do. I guess I will vote Hillary

If Rubin thinks the conservative base would back Hillary, she more delusional than I thought.
I will not ever pull the lever for her, rest assured.
I’ve been on record as saying she is the prohibitive favorite for the White House.
But if you ask me if the American people should keep her well away from it - my unqualified response is yes - and I hope they follow suit.
