JTA - Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidency rolled out its Israel Advisory Committee last week -- no one noticed.
Blame the unrelenting news cycle, if you will: July 14 was the day of the hideous mass killing in Nice, France.
But also, his Israel Advisory Committee consists of exactly three Jews, including two who work for him.
Not much news here, move along.
Trump’s unusual campaign extends to its Jewish outreach, or rather his lack of Jewish outreach resembling anything that has come under that rubric in other campaigns.
Campaigns routinely distribute talking points to Jewish supporters and cultivate them as “validators,” folks who will appear on their behalf in the community and Jewish media making their case. But insiders say that Republican Jews who want to support Trump within their community have heard … crickets.
No talking points. No invitations to speak on his behalf to their communities. Calls by potential supporters and donors on behalf of daughters and nephews who want to volunteer go unreturned. (Like JTA's request to the Trump campaign for comment on this story.)
Tevi Troy, a deputy secretary of health under President George W. Bush and a formidable Jewish community validator for past Republican candidates, said no one has been in touch this year, but that may be because he’s not on any of the relevant lists. Troy had opposed Trump during the primaries, but once it became clear in May that Trump would be the nominee, he said he was open to persuasion.
“I don’t think they’re targeting messages specifically to the Jewish community,” he said.

There has been exactly one President who was not a Christian in well over 200 years. So if we Jooos! are so against voting for Christians, for whom did we vote? Also, what do you mean “they,” Kimosavee? Do you really think Jews are some monolithic entity? I don’t normally detest Christians, but in your case I’m willing to make an exception.
I'm not sure that's entirely true.A couple of years ago I attended a talk given by Mark Steyn at a synagogue in suburban Boston.Before Steyn spoke the Rabbi spoke for about 10 minutes and he sounded pretty conservative to me.I'm still on their mailing list...they invite some pretty interesting people to speak there.

I read a lot of downright moronic comments here on Free Republic, but yours deserves a special mention. No Jews I know DETEST CHRISTIANS. Quiet the contrary. Christians are now the biggest group of supporters of Israel on the planet. I have always voted for the best conservative candidate. I assume most were Christians, but I really don't care.

You've got it exactly right. The more religious folks, Jews and Christians, tend to be much more conservative. Orthodox Jews overwhelmingly vote conservative. The great majority of born-again Christians tend to vote conservative.

essentially all of our American and American Founders’ values derived from Biblical faith .... as John Adams noted, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Those Jews and Christians that totally abandon their faith traditions (or fool themselves perhaps into thinking they’re still faithful...while attending essentially anti=Biblical leftist/liberal/reform/progressive churches and synagogues)........ these folks usually lose most of their moral values too. Result: they vote D.
I think that's generally true here and elsewhere in the West.I've seen it written that about half of Americans who call themselves "Jewish" are,in fact,atheists.So "Jew" somehow has become an ethnicity rather than a religious preference.
You are viewing history within the blinders of a modern mind-set. If the Jews were a "suicidal, self hating people," they would not have survived on this planet for more than 3000 years. Thousands of other groups did not survive. I don't think you really understand much about the history of the Jewish people.
Left-wing progressives are indeed suicidal and too many, not all, Jews in this country are left-wing progressives. But there are millions of Jews, here and in Israel, who not belong to this ideology.

Dumb Debbie Wasserman Schulz is giving Trump more Jewish voters than imaged, and Alan Grayson, the psychocrook, is adding to that Jews for Trump vote too.
I think a lot of people are going to be surprised in November as to how many more Jews voted this time.
