ALBANY, N.Y. — Officials at SUNY Albany cancelled the university’s basketball game with Duke University this past week in light of the New York governor’s ban on non-essential government travel to North Carolina.
As previously reported, in late March, following controversy over North Carolina’s Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act, which requires those who identify as transgender to present their birth certificate before using restrooms in government buildings that correlate with their “gender identity,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo banned non-essential government travel to the state.
“Whereas the state of North Carolina has enacted legislation to bar transgender persons from using bathrooms and changing facilities corresponding to such persons’ gender identities,” the order read in part, “I, Andrew M. Cuomo, … do hereby order and direct all agencies, departments, boards, authorities and commissions … to bar any such publicly funded or publicly sponsored travel to such location, unless such travel is necessary for the enforcement of New York State law, to meet prior contractual obligations, or for the protection of public health, welfare, and safety.”

Let's face it. Officials at SUNY Albany cancelled the university’s basketball game with Duke University this past week because they are afraid that Duke will easily win against an inferior team from New York.
And men can't get pregnant and have babies.
No matter how many medical procedures they have to alter their appearance it is only cosmetic.
They may look like a $100 an hour trollop but if they were born as a male, they will die as a male.
And they know it.
It just amazes me that New Yorkers continue to tolerate Cumo. Is he related to the Clintons?

I can see it now. No flights or unnecessary travel to NY from any second amendment friendly state until they loosen the CCW restrictions.
They were scheduled as an easy home win for Duke for which they would have received a hefty payday. So to make sure 40 year old men can expose themselves to 9 year old girls they lose several hundred thousand dollars.
Republicans in Albany should propose a bill to cut SONY funding by the amount they forfeited. It would never pass but show NY citizens how little liberals care about taxpayers.
How will the Duke basketball program survive not having SUNY Albany on the schedule???
Exactly. SUNY knew they would lose. This is beyond absurd.
I don’t know how Duke will survive, but man, if the South would have been more patient; they could have won the Civil War this way.
It’s a blow, but Duke will soldier on somehow, I’m sure.
Duke is probably celebrating that they didn’t have to play a “mens” team that wears dresses and squats to pee!
In the circles where I run, in general, the attitude is "Fine. Didn't particularly want you and your crowd here, anyway."
Now, the media is trying to get things stirred in a flap and a flutter, but by and large, the reaction from most of NC has been a collective yawn.
SUNY’s time in the sun and they blow it. Yawn....

Are there transgender players on New York public school teams? That sounds like cheating.
