It’s a sick world.
Without the assurance that they will be struck in return, where is the incentive to force terrorists to cease their depredations?
Some might not even care about that. They think it’s a ticket to heaven, and also, in a bent mind, think it’s a righteous vengeance themselves.
At any rate, they are the people who gloat when they launch a successful attack (or in their minds, counter attack to assaults on the chips on their shoulder). We should be careful not to gloat, which puts the glory on us rather than on the good Lord.
