” the rebellion was about “incentivizing states to close their primaries.” Such a move could make it more difficult for candidates like Trump who do not have a long conservative pedigree from relying on moderates and independents to boost their GOP primary campaigns.”
Leave the rules alone. It’s that LONG CONSERVATIVE “PEDIGREE” that’s the problem. The “so-called conservatives” appear to me to be the problem in the GOP today. They seem to think that they should get 100% of what they want, or they take their marbles and go home. I’ll bet you Kendal Unruh got notes home to her parents when she was a child saying:”does not work well with others!”
I have long advocated for closing all Republican primaries.
I am convinced that open primaries gave us John McCain in 2008.
Why should all states have exactly the same rules? Let each state have its own uniquely weird rules.
It might be a mess. But look at the history of central planning. In 2013 the RNC Central Commiturn Politiburo adapted the anti-RonPaul rules to create what happened in 2015-16. They intended it to benefit the likes of jebbie. But all their central planning backfired.
So why should we now double down on central planning?
The real pro American anti globalist base voted for Trump. Closing primaries will not change that.
“Ill bet you Kendal Unruh got notes home to her parents when she was a child sa”ying:does not work well with others!
I woulduv guessed Kendal got notes that said she was the teacher’s pet; I always found those super “good” girls to be the most mindless ones, mindlessly bought into the meme-du-jure. They also tended to be self-righteous as hell too, thinking they were better than everyone else, not listening or paying attention to anyone except the “authorities”.
