Mrs. Trump, Monday night:
From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily lives. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son. And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
Mrs. Obama, in her 2008 speech:
Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say youre going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you dont know them, and even if you dont agree with them. And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children and all children in this nation to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

You know what? You can justify cheating and stealing. I won’t. Again I will vote for Trump but Melania has gone down the tubes in my thoughts. It is a nasty thing for her to do.
Oops, Didn’t read the comments before posting. Didn’t mean to copy you.
GMTA
Politicians plagiarize regularly without even realizing it. So do preachers.
“but it is her responsibility to ensure it was at least not plagiarized.”
Get real. Go you have any proof that Michelle Obama copyrighted this line?
“That your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect.”
I’ve heard it hundreds of times. But who knows. Maybe the FBI will see enough evidence to indict.
For real? Some parts are a nearly verbatim quote.
You're pretty tough. Even the hacks on MSM begrudgingly admit this was not Melania's fault.
The fact that the liberal media immediately seized on this plagiarism charge wouldn’t be possible if they weren’t fed the information ahead of time. They were too ready to pounce!
ACK! U beat me to it, Cats! LOL
That was my first thought.
“Again I will vote for Trump”
Glad you cleared that up. I had you down as a Hillary troll for sure.
Cheating and stealing? Give me a break. I didn’t see your indignation in any of the Hillary threads about the misuse of classified information.
That is a bizarre ridiculous statement and you are a fool. Steal and cheat? Go become a democrat.
I agree, it is blatant plagiarism. But my guess would not be that Melania is responsible or had any idea that it was such. It is presumably the contribution of a speechwriter. Or, such an assigned speechwriter would surely have gone over past nominees’ wives’ convention speeches and should have picked it up anyway.
But the question is why the speechwriter, if that’s who it was, did it? It is so blatant and there has been so much attempted Trump sabotage from GOPe consultant quarters that there is a good chance that this was planted to blow up just as it has.
Just when I was feeling really good about FR he reminds me that of course even here we have some idiots. Pure trolling.
little do they know, they’re setting Melannia up, in viewers mind to be First Lady material by comparing her to Michelle
Do we know yet who helped her with the speech? That could be the story of the night.
Mochelle must have picked from somewhere else, look for that speech.
The MSM are in full Palinization mode. They sense that she is a real threat (immigrant, beautiful, smart) and so she must be Palinized quickly and relentlessly by whatever means at hand. Mark my words, it will get vicious.
Also how quick it was spotted, given the generic nature of the duplicated thoughts expressed in the words. Could be the speed of social media or something more sinister. .
