Melania Trump’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention Monday night appears to have nearly copied a paragraph from Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Regardless, whoever wrote this part of the speech, their head will be up their own ass in the morning. This was a kick to the gut for Melania.
Here’s the quote from Melania’s speech:
“From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect,” Melania Trump said in her speech. “They taught and showed me morals in their daily life. That is the lesson that I continue to pass along to our son. And we need to pass those lessons on to many generations to follow because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”
And from Michelle Obama in 2008:
“... Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them,” Obama said, according to a transcript. “And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”
Judge for yourselves.
CNN is going on and on calling it a major scandal....
My guess would be that Melania wrote her speech from her own life, while Michelle’s speech was written by professionals who know what people wanted to hear. If it was the same story, it’s because Michelle was pretending to be what Melania actually is. We’re tired of phonies. We’re ready for the real deal and we can tell the difference.

It’s plagiarism. Yeah Obama and Biden did it too but this is politically devastating given the timing and the setting.
