My father was in WWII (Italy and Holland) and Korea with the Canadian infantry. He said nothing he saw in WWII prepared him for the total disregard the Chinese commanders showed for their own troops. Swarms of poorly trained soldiers swarming heavily defended positions and being slaughtered in the process.
Germany
This event is significant because it occurred outside the major metro areas. This extends Islamic terror into everyday Germany and normal German life. Most people in Germany ride the trains on a frequent basis.
German sentiment is swinging away from the refugees.
