I agree with you folks. Ted has overstayed his welcome in our hearts.
Last year I very much wanted him to be the Vice Presidential pick. Today I don’t even want him at the convention.
If I had my wish, he’d be back in the private sector within six years, and never heard from again.
If he pulls the McCain 2001 routine (trashing Bush policy (good or not) against Trump every weekend on the talking head shows, I’ll loathe the guy more than I do now.
As it is, I get a bit angry every time I hear his name.

I was of the same mind. In hindsight, it’s just so surprising how “played” I was with respect to Cruz. Early on, I too thought a Trump/Cruz ticket would be unbeatable.
As voters, we’ve been played by the media and haven’t been diligent in our personal vetting of candidates. We needed Donald Trump to start the dialogue about all these so-called “conservatives” who have skillfully, with media “help,” crafted false narratives about themselves that got them elected repeatedly. While all the while, they were serving their “monied masters” while screwing their constituents. All you need to do to see how ugly these people are is to review the “re-election” of Thad Cochran.
