Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich may not have been Donald Trump's choice as a running mate, but he said Sunday that he's not disappointed--and that he'd still be happy to serve in Trump's administration.
"I would certainly serve with the president, preferably in a position that he and I would work out," Gingrich said on CBS' "Face the Nation..."
"I think Pence is a great choice," Gingrich said...
Gingrich also explained why he recently referred to Trump as a "pirate..." "This is a guy who is going to be different -- if you want to break up the corrupt bureaucratic, incestuous system of Washington, you had better have somebody who has a very strong personality and who's very willing to get in fights," he said. "You're not going to get some nice pleasant corporate bureaucrat to come to this city and dramatically change it..."

For the love of God, a man over the course of his entire book of work (which might I add was spectacular) does one thing and TAR FEATHER BURN BURN BURN.
Your litmus test would eliminate 99.99 % of all for consideration of any government position which includes our candidate himself (shall I go through the exhaustive list of his “sins”?)
Sometimes I am happy as hell positions being filled and decisions made don’t sit with knee jerk reactionaries.
I see the anti-Newt drama queens are out this morning. Newt would make a find Chief of Staff.
While I think Newt needs to be involved, the guy has to stop lusting for a job. Jeez. It’s like the girl who can’t get a date throwing herself at every guy in the room.
I just pictured him calling a reporter a “jackwagon”..
Yup! I’m pretty sure Newt has Secretary of State in the bag if Trump is elected.
Thank you for the thought you put into that.............sincerely.
Newt for Secretary Not Sure
Look under Dept of Defense (War)
And he will!
He said the function goes to War and the department is eliminated.
Got it. Thanks.
ASA Vet for Director, Office of Personnel Management.
OH YEA!! That would be GOOD!
Giving the Falklands to Argentina would be like "giving back" Texas, Calfornia and the whole southwest to Mexico. Should we do that?
What about the French colonies in the Caribbean?
Ever heard of St. Pierre et Miquelon? It’s a couple of islands a few miles off the coast of Newfoundland, that still belong to France.
Well, maybe not Texas.
We could easily give em California, Arizona, New Mexico and even throw in New York.
Definitely Bolton!!!!!
Did you see their function is picked up by the Dept of War?
My reasoning was to create an optimal span of control for the POTUS.
So The Department of War would be the Undersecretaries of Army, Navy, Air Force, Intelligence, Veterans, and probably a couple more if needed.
