There is NOTHING wrong in asking where is Melania. I was the poster who originally asked the question, and I stand by my benignly-intended question. It was not meant as a slam. It was a genuine question.

I am fully aware of her maternal responsibilities and take no issue with them. I also know that she has her parents frequently there to sub for her as needed.

The official naming of a Vice Presidential candidate is an important occasion (as is the Republican National Convention, of course.) As such, I think it would have been nice to see her there.

But let’s not use this question to chew each other out. It is okay to ask questions/make inquiries when they arise.

Let’s celebrate a wonderful VP selection and unite behind our God-given candidates.

You're correct...I was Quick-Draw McGraw in that post and I apologize. As a matter of fact, upon re-thinking, I think this was an event today that both mother and son could have, maybe should have attended. I hope they're not turning him into a little too-sheltered snowflake.

On the other hand, there are rumors that he has slight autism which is why he and his mother are seldom on the campaign trail.....but I could find no hard and fast verification of this on Wiki and elsewhere.

So, henceforth, I'll leave the parenting to Melanie and Donald without comment from me. Thanks for your much-appreciated post.
