I saw that as well and got the same impression.
If the coup succeeds, on top of what happened in Egypt, it will be a seismic shift in the region's politics and a good thing.

Turkey today. The US tomorrow wouldn't be a bad thing and bump up the election.
Obama would probably go to the UN and beg for the military to be ousted. Look how much he crowed about Ukraine, and Crimea. And did nothing about it.
I think he is under arrest.
When the Egyptian Military took over the 0bama administration basically cut them off and they found allies with Putin.
I think the timing on this is very curious.
6 months left in the 0bama administration and if Putin wanted to establish his influence in Turkey he would be running out of time.
