'If Germany could vote, Hillary would win hands down'

Germans think Trump would be a disaster for the USA and the rest of the world, argues Hamburg professor Dr. Harry Friebel in an opinion piece for The Local. [
]
If Germany could vote, the outcome would be clear: Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton would win hands down against the Republicans combustible and unpredictable Donald Trump. Different surveys on the preferences of Germans for the 45th president of the US come to similar conclusions: The magazine Stern reported on the results of its own survey Germany Chooses that 80 percent of Germans would vote for Clinton and 20 percent for Trump. [
] Clear differences between East and West Germany as well as with regard to German party preferences emerge: Clinton does best in West Germany and among supporters of the Greens, the Left Party and the Social Democratic Party (SPD). Trump receives considerably more support in the East of Germany and among supporters of the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD). [
]
Old Europe wants Hillary Clinton to emerge victorious.

I suspect Germany and the rest of Europe get most of their US news freshly translated and unfiltered from New York Times.

True, but they were fed and bought into the liberal propaganda about Reagan, they never really knew him.My dear neighbors in Traben-Trarbach learned much about Ronald Reagan, American history and civics, during the 1980 campaign. I was all of 26 at the time, but I had a good education, and spoke the language fairly well.
My points were driven home on Inauguration Day, when the hostages landed at Ramstein.

Who f’ing cares WHAT the Krauts think?
Or the Mexicans, Chinese, Fwench, Italians, Martians, whomever - IT ISN’T THEIR COUNTRY!
I don’t notice many polls asking Americans who they think would be the best leader for a foreign country - why might that be?

What is even worse is if the German elections where today. Merkel would still be prime minster. That is what the last poll about two months ago shown.
Germany is screwed.
