Great woman! She worked as a mechanic in WWII changing oil and fixing flats for the British military. When I learned that she gained my respect. Now those no-account sons of her’s are a different story!

Her Majesty’s a pretty nice girl,
But she doesn’t have a lot to say.
Her Majesty’s a pretty nice girl,
But she changes from day to day.
I wanna tell her that I love her a lot,
But I gotta get a bellyfull of wine.
Her Majesty’s a pretty nice girl;
Someday, I’m gonna make her mine,
Oh, yeah; someday, I’m gonna make her mine.

Lamb is a common dish in the UK, and is very popular in Scotland.

Well said. She has class, and nice to drop by the oldest (and, from the photos, not luxurious) pub in Scotland. And, we are safe; to paraphrase Homer Simpson, “If I didn’t have this gun, the Queen of England could come in here any time she wants and start shoving you around.”

As a small child, I saw her coronation on TV news. She seemed to me at the time to epitomize everything a queen should be...didn’t hurt that she was also very beautiful.

They are British, they eat a great deal of lamb and have for the past few thousand years.

The Queen needed a stiff one after learning who the new PM is going to be.

She hasn't had a stiff one for maybe 40 years.

Really, why is there still royalty? These oh so progressive and smart sophisticated Euro people, who look down at us, aren’t really smart or sophisticated at all.

The progressive smart and sophisticated Europeans backed the European Union and the European Court.

The fuddy-duddy queen stated her opposition to all of that modern bureaucratic folderol that undermined the rights of her people.

Some years ago the Queen was at a bird hunt, when a winged bird flapped at her feet.

Without delay, she picked it up and wrung its neck.

Not one of the American royals, nor any of their entourage, or coat holders could think so quickly, or so much as know what to do.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has delivered a silent rebuke to animal rights activists who objected to her killing a wounded game bird with her bare hands.

Experts Defend Queen

Shooting experts defended the Queen’s action as merciful, saying neck-wringing was the fastest and most humane way to end the bird’s agony.

“All she did was put a bird out of its misery after it had been shot. She can’t see what the fuss is about,” a royal aide told the Daily Express today.
