MSNBC's Rachel Maddow revealed in a new interview with Rolling Stone that she's been meticulously prepping for a possible Donald Trump presidency.
How?
By studying the first few months of Adolf Hitler's tenure as German chancellor, beginning in 1934.
“What is amazing is the Republican Party that picked him. They had 330 million people to choose from, and they've decided that he is the best one to be the standard-bearer of one of the two major parties of the greatest nation on Earth,” Maddow told the magazine in an interview published Tuesday.
“Like, talk to me, Republican voters! What's the worst-case scenario for America if he wins? It can be pretty bad. You don't have to go back far in history to get to almost apocalyptic scenarios.”
“Is part of you worried we're living through the first few chapters of some dystopian science fiction novel?” interviewer Andy Greene asked.
Maddow responded: “Over the past year I've been reading a lot about what it was like when Hitler first became chancellor. I am gravitating toward moments in history for subliminal reference in terms of cultures that have unexpectedly veered into dark places, because I think that's possibly where we are.”

There is a big difference between Trump and Hitler, Trump can be voted out in 4 years, once Hitler took power, he couldn’t be voted out. Hitler had his own Army made up of Veterans in special brown uniforms, along with those guys in their black uniforms we so often saw in the movies when I was a kid. He didn’t want to build a wall around Germany to keep people out, and his way of ridding foreigners from Germany is not what Trump has in mind. What gets me most about the Democrats is they all possess a crystal ball that shows them the future.

She’s way behind...although one does suspect Ms. Maddow has extensive experience veering into dark places. The rest of us have been thinking about this ever since Li’l Juan McCain folded like a cheap suit.

Well, I studied Hitler for a completely different reason than Maddow.
As someone that was doing a fair amount of public speaking at the time, studying how Hitler controlled his audience with his cadence, tone and body language was fascinating.
I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that 0bama also studied Hitlers speaking style. There are many similarities particularly during 0bama’s Presidential runs.
