Social media erupted in fury after the Canadian quartet The Tenors changed the words to O Canada to make a political statement during the opening of Major League Baseballs All-Star Game in San Diego Tuesday night.
Holding up a sign saying All Lives Matter, the group sang: We are brothers, we are sisters, All lives matter to the brave, when they should have been singing: With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free.
The words United We Stand were written on the back of the sign.
Although there was some applause during their performance, reaction afterwards was overwhelmingly negative, judging by comments posted on Twitter.
How on earth did they think this was a good idea, asked one tweet.

According to the local radio here Fox didn’t even show the anthem but it was shown on the MLB International feed which was what was on Canadian Cable TV. So in essence this whole thing never happened as far as the Fox TV audience is concerned.
