I agree, but we could have had a pure conservative constitutionalist in Cruz, yet to read all the freepers on Cruz you would think he is the devil incarnate.

So we could end up with another gas bag who fails to live up to what they all claimed him to be.

I do agree that Trump is more preferable than Hillary, or any Democrat, but time is short and today is the time we need a true conservative not a moderate who will rubber stamp everything the moderate Republicans give him.

So far Trump is going against everything he claimed to be, time will tell if he walks the walk when he wins.

Oh, and yes he will win. Any Republican would win, that is my problem with going with a moderate instead of a true conservative.

It’s my guess that since most people on Free Republic are conservatives, they would love a conservative candidate. They have one. They listened to the candidates, evaluated what they said, voting records for those who had them, and made their decision as to who was the best match for them.

I believe Mr. Trump is the true conservative, and Cruz was/is not. Having been brought up in a born-again Christian conservative home, my dad was my hero. I learned SO much from him about God, the Constitution, and Liberty.

When I first became aware of Cruz, his words sounded good. But, there was something off about him, although at the time, I couldn’t name it. As time went on, as I read more about him, heard him speak, and observed his actions and reactions, it became clear to me (and others) that he was not the conservative of which he spoke. I suspected he was not genuine, and looked to other candidates to see who would be the best choice.

IMO, his subsequent words and actions confirmed my initial reaction. I’m not coming at you to argue, that is not my intention, OneVike, but yes, I do believe he is an agent of Satan. His demeanor, words, and actions 100% confirm it to me.

We can debate endlessly over Cruz’s conservative credentials, but that has been done again and again by others here, and they no doubt would do a better job of it than me.

I don’t have TV, I don’t listen to the radio, and thus, I am not subject to a lot of the Satanic lies and deceit with which the media brainwashes so many sheeple. Their unrelenting, visceral hatred of Mr. Trump confirms he is the one they fear the most. That alone tells me he is the right candidate, not a Globalist like Romney, McCain, Bush, and yes, Cruz.

Having spent many hours researching Mr. Trump, his history (what is available online) over the span of decades, I realized Mr. Trump has played “nice” with politicians to grow his successful business. This does not bother me, because his core words and beliefs, expressed decades ago, matched what he says today....(at least in the videos I watched of him from many years ago). He appears to me to truly love his country and countrymen, and is courageously and selflessly offering himself up as a target to the Globalists, in order to restore this country. Although God uses Christians and non-Christians for His purpose, I think DJT is a genuine Christian.

Looking backward, bemoaning what could have been may well be injurious to the country and to us as individuals, especially since we know that God is in control, no matter what, OneVike. It is His Will that Donald Trump prevailed.

I remember another Christian’s helpful words to me years ago when they told me: “Let’s put all our concerns into a virtual “basket” and slide it up to the foot of the Cross, and say, “Lord, You know best. Your Will, not Mine.”
